Water Supply

Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA) is dedicated to providing clean, safe and reliable water to our community. Our water is sourced from local rivers and reservoirs that are carefully monitored and managed to ensure a consistent supply. Through a partnership with the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA), ACSA oversees the storage and distribution of treated water to homes and businesses across Albemarle County. The daily status of our water levels, rainfall data and storage tank levels is available for review in a Daily Water Status Report to keep our customers informed about the local water supply.

Curious about where your water comes from? Explore our interactive Watershed Map to learn about the reservoirs and rivers that provide your drinking water. Each body of water plays a critical role in ensuring the availability of high-quality water for the community.
