Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA) is governed by a six-member Board of Directors whose representatives are appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County, Virginia. Each serves for a term of four years. The Board has a fiduciary responsibility that involves many functions, such as appointing and providing administrative guidance to the Executive Director; consulting with management and overseeing the strategic and operational direction of ACSA; approving all major financial decisions; and protecting the interests of ACSA and its customers. Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month and are overseen by the Board Chairman. All meetings are open to the public, who are encouraged to provide comments and suggestions.
